Sierra Vista Diamonds Play Tough in 2016 Labor Day Tournament

The Sierra Vista Diamonds went 1-3-1 at the single elimination, 3rd Annual Labor Day XTREME Labor Day Tournament held at the Mike Jacobs Sport Park in Tucson Arizona. The Diamonds Played the Tucson Road Runners, Impulse Shanks, AZ Thundercats and Scramblers. The Diamond girls ranging in age from 11 to 15 held their own during the four game pool play on Saturday the 3rd of September by winning one game and tying another. Early Sunday morning the Diamond bats went cold and they lost to the Scramblers 8-0.

Upcoming: The Diamonds next Tournament will be at the Rex Allen Days, girls softball friendly tournament scheduled to be held Saturday Oct. 1st thru Sunday Oct. 2nd 2016. We are expecting 10 teams will play in this friendly tournament. Tournament will be a 5 game guarantee. Format will be pool play into either single or double elimination depending on the number of teams. Go Diamonds!
